Creative Salon 9
Interior and Theme
Creative Salon 9 is a
café that has a “book” concept. When you go inside this café, you can see many
books along one side wall of this café. You can buy many kinds of books with 30
percent discount. If you buy some books in this café, you can have a cup of
coffee for free.
Creative Salon hosts
book concerts and author appearances. In these events, you can enjoy listening
to music by professional musicians and join recitals by special author. If you
have favorite authors, you can meet and have a chance to discuss their books.
Even if you have no special membership in this cafe, you can join this program
and talk about the topics of several books.
If you need a special
place for your work or social meetings, you can rent a meeting place in this café.
Menu and Taste
There are so many
kinds of menu you can enjoy. One of the most popular menus is “creative salon 9’s
special set menu”. It is consists of a green salad, a club sandwiche, a green
tea ice flake, scooped pizza and three drinks. It is best to go with three or
four people. It costs 29000 won. Another menu I recommend is “a brunch set”. It
is served from 11a.m. to 5p.m. It is consists of a salad, a yogurt, a sandwich,
baked potatoes and coffee or tea. It costs 9900 won. If you order at least one
menu a person, you can stay in the café for three hours.

Hello Kitty Café
Interior and Theme
Hello Kitty Café is the café for people who
like Hello Kitty. All of the things in café such as cups, sofas and cushions have
the Hello Kitty theme. There are also Hello Kitty logo and drawings in walls,
exterior, and even in the beverages and food. For example, they draw many
different shapes of Hello Kitty as latte art and make their food look like
Hello Kitty. Their cakes and waffles have Hello Kitty shapes.
They also display Hello Kitty products such as
dolls, T-shirts and tumblers in the show window and sell these products.
Menu and Taste
Their price is similar to other cafes. You can
order drinks from a minimum of 3500 won to a maximum of 6000 won and food from
3500 won to 6500 won. In addition, there is a set menu which allows you to
enjoy both drinks and food at cheaper prices.
If you love something sweet, their food will
suit for your taste.
Way to go
This special café is located in Sinchon. You
can get there by walking in the direction of Yonsei University from Sinchon Station
exit 1.
General Doctor
This café is managed
by a real doctor, who has an actual doctor license. So, we can receive medical
treatment!
Interior and Theme
Once you are in front of this door, you can
feel this building is like a hospital. If you enter, you can see many wood
tables and chairs in a cozy atmosphere. In the middle of the café, there is a little
tree and round shape a table. Also, in the corner, there are many books like comic
books, best sellers. The most special thing is that four cats live in this café.
They have individual names and the clerks always take care of them. The cats
are very gentle so they don’t scratch people if people touch and stroke them. You
can take pictures everywhere and print them out on a special printing machine. The
café is neat and cozy so it can be great place to talk with friends.
Menu and Taste
General Doctor is famous for its cheese cake
and Bingsu. I think it is not fancy like the other Bingsu, but it is healthy
because there are not artificial additives like colorings.
Cheese cake is very special too. It is smaller
than other cafes’ cakes, but it has the original taste and flavor of cheese. It
is not very sweet but tastes like roasted sesame. You may think it is more
expensive than other cakes, but if you eat this once, you can think it deserves
to pay this cost.
Way to go
It is easier to find the cafe from the Hong-ik
University front gate. Turn right and go straight, and you can find the building.
The front door is in the right side of the building. It looks like a hospital
door.
